The keepsake

A camera roll is not a place to keep someone.

Photographs disappear into the scroll. This doesn't. Every piece begins with a picture you choose — and ends as an object with weight, grain, and a face you can trace with your thumb.

Carved, not printed

Every line is cut into the leather with a blade, then coloured in layers with leather dyes. No printing, no transfers, no two pieces alike.

Italian leather

Full-grain, vegetable-tanned hide, chosen for how it ages. The surface darkens and softens exactly where your hand holds it.

One of one

Your piece is made for your animal only. The carving is never repeated, and the pattern is never reused.

Choose the photograph

A clear, front-facing shot in natural light works best. One animal per piece — if you have two, we make two.

It's carved by hand

The portrait is cut and tooled into the leather, then painted in thin layers so the colour sits in the grain rather than on top of it.

It ships to your door

Tracked, duty-paid delivery. Your piece is dispatched within 15 working days of your order and arrives 7–10 working days later.

How long will my piece take?
Carving starts once you approve your photograph and payment is confirmed. Your piece is then dispatched within 15 working days (about three weeks), and tracked delivery takes a further 7–10 working days depending on where you are.
What makes a good photograph?
Natural light, the face clearly visible, and no heavy filters. A phone photo is fine — sharpness matters more than the camera. If your pet has passed and you only have older pictures, send the best one you have and we'll tell you honestly what can be done.
Can you carve more than one pet on a single piece?
One animal per piece keeps the portrait readable. If you have two companions, order two pieces — they're made to sit together.
Is it painted or carved?
Both. The portrait is carved into the leather first, then coloured by hand with leather dyes. The texture you feel is the carving; the colour follows it.
Will it look exactly like the photograph?
It will look like your animal — but it is a hand-carved interpretation in leather, not a photograph printed on a surface. Slight differences in tone and detail are part of what makes each piece one of one.
Do I pay customs or import fees?
No. Delivery is duty-paid to your door — what you pay at checkout is the final amount.
Can I return it?
Because every piece is made to your photograph, it is a personalised item and is not covered by the standard 14-day change-of-mind right. If something arrives damaged, or if I carve the wrong animal, I'll remake it at no cost. See Returns & refunds.
