Terms of service

Last updated: 25 October 2026

These terms apply every time you order from Carved Paws. By placing an order you agree to them. If anything is unclear, email hello@carvedpaws.com before you pay.

1. Who we are

Carved Paws is a small independent workshop. Business details: [TODO: legal name, registered address, tax number].

2. Your order

An order is placed when you submit the order form. We accept it when we confirm by email that we have received your photograph and payment. If we cannot make your piece — for example because the photograph is too unclear — we will tell you and refund you in full.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in US dollars and include delivery. Payment is handled by PayPal. Your bank may apply its own currency conversion or card fees; those are outside our control.

4. Personalised goods

Every piece is made to your photograph and is therefore a personalised item. This has two consequences:

  • It is not covered by the 14-day change-of-mind right that applies to standard goods in the EU and UK, because personalised items are excluded by law.
  • We cannot resell it, so please check the photograph and options carefully before paying.

5. Your photograph

You confirm that you own the photograph or have permission to use it. You give us permission to use it for the sole purpose of making your piece, remaking it if something goes wrong, and keeping the records described in our privacy policy. We will not publish it or use it in advertising without your separate consent.

6. Production and delivery

Pieces are made by hand and are dispatched within 15 working days of your photograph and payment being confirmed, with tracked delivery taking a further 7–10 working days. Delivery is tracked and duty-paid: the price you pay at checkout is the final amount, with no customs charges on arrival. See shipping for details.

7. If something goes wrong

If your piece arrives damaged, or we carve the wrong animal, we will remake it at no cost. See returns and refunds.

8. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [TODO: jurisdiction]. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, this does not remove the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live.

10. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it.
